For ages religion and spirituality has sought to answer questions like, “Where did we come from?”, “Why are we here?”, “What happens when we die?” and many more. Oneness New Thought takes a unique approach to addressing these questions.
When we consider the “meaning” of things we often introduce our own reasoning. That reasoning is influenced by countless parts of our lives, including our biases and limited world views. Rather than claiming to know all of the answers, Oneness provides a context that acknowledges and accepts the unknown and makes peace with the idea that we are better served focusing on the life we’re leading right now.
We don’t make any claim to know the unknowable. Where did we come from? Where do we go when we die? We believe these questions distract us from spiritual living. Seeking to prescribe meaning to things is very human of us. However, often the meaning we prescribe to what can’t be known is actually an attempt to comfort ourselves in the face of uncertainty. Oneness is about embracing uncertainty and inviting ourselves to cultivate faith in a conscious and deliberate way.
Drawing from the understandings of Science, Religion and Philosophy, Oneness proposes the idea that the Spiritual Law of the Universe operates similar to the Natural Laws that science has helped us to understand. We believe in a Spiritual Nature of things that has created all of existence and even creates our lives. Therefore, we focus on the Human Life we are living and what we can demonstrate through our own practices as we explore Universal Spiritual Laws.
